CLARKE – On February 26th 2013. CLEMENT O.D “BUDDY” of Ellerslie School Gap, Black Rock, St. Michael. Widower of Jean. Father of Elizabeth Martinovitch (Canada), Dawn Allen and Edward Clarke. Grandfather of Nicholas and Erin Allen and Mark Mayers. A service of thanksgiving for the life of CLEMENT O.D. CLARKE takes place on Wednesday 6th March 2013 at 10.00a.m in the chapel of BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME Belmont Road, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet. The interment of his cremated remains will follow in Westbury Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME Belmont Road, St. Michael not later than 9.00a.m. on Wednesday.

I have wonderful memories of Buddy but the ones that instantly came to mind when I heard of his passing were those of my learning to drive under his leadership. Many were astonished at my submission to such torture. [smile]
But he was a great teacher and we got along famously. Is it any wonder then, that after learning to drive under Buddy, my passion for race car driving came alive and I asked my Dad for a racing car soon after I got my license! I rest my case. [Of course, I never did get that car.]
My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
